oh yeah---kids are the worst for germs--and being a teacher! oy boy! you have a large red target on you that says 'infect me!'....good thing yours are older (grade school kids are the absolute worst!)....so yeah double up on the vit c and oj....and if you start feeling a wee bit run down or getting that weird feeling in your throat--take action quickly!!

(nap was great, now I have to make dinner...........and since we have both been sick, havent been to the store---slim pickin's for dinner)

Ya I try too. I only got sick once last semester while I was student teaching... So here is to hoping I'm able to keep up my resistance. Though I know I won't be able to the whole time. oh well.

I think you start to build up a resistance after a while, but the first year or two is a real pain. (I caught the flu while I was student teaching--good thing it was easter and school was out).

Ya I know you do. I remember when my mom started teaching. She got really sick her first year. Comes with dealing with little kids I guess.

Gf's bday. Went over to her place and had Cola Chicken and cupcakes. Lots of fun.

So was at the hospital last night, for a talk about what i can suffer from, they still have no idea, beside irritabel bowel syndrom, i have another thing that's annoying me, which they have no idea what is, so they have to put up a conference to discuss it, i feel special:P

cola chicken? I think its chicken that you cook in some cola (coke, pepsi)...never had it, but if its the one I am thinking of--its very sweet.

still have my cold...it is trying a comeback ...hope my naps have finally won over it.

That is what cola chicken is cosy. You slow cook it in it's sauce which is composed of ketchep and pepsi. Very yummy. And I have leftovers too.

And it isn't that bad for you as far as I know. It's not just one piece of chicken, we had a lot in there so it evens out the cola.

So, the hospital just called me today, saying that my stomach was on konference, and they're pretty sure that is is my scar tissue in my stomach that annoys me quite a bit, so now i need to talk with a surgent, and they will surgerntly (is that a word?) remove it. or remove it with surgery. If i get better, i'm gonna be awesomely happy again

well...we got our door back, its now a bluish-grey (the outside of the condo building is brown with redish bricks..and the door was white--so the trim is still white)...it looks goofy...and yes, it doesnt close either

....they had it repainted since the idiots they had paint it last time used the wrong paint! (gee, you get what you paid for--what do you expect?)....I really do hate this place.

been there....still there.....no idea how to deal with it....then again, I am just trying to ignore it (pretend its not there)....

so, the asssssociation in their infinite stupidity--next spring are going to have the same buffoons do our inner LOCKED door as well--took them a week to do the outside one, and the locked door is the ONLY thing we have to keep people out (our actual condo doors are inside doors with more or less ornamental locks...

)...and no heat in the winter and no insulation between us and the common area....should be another good time had by all----really really need to get out of this dump.

Too bad you can't just be like, oh hey, I'll do it myself thanks! It should only take a day to do those doors. Sanding it and then painting it shouldn't take a week.

its metal--its has to be done 'electrostatically'...which is where the last schmuck had problems.....they like to put different based paints on them--some of which dont work and have to be removed the old hard way. (its what you get when you hire your grandkids neighbors housekeepers son to do a job).

like they didnt even bother to sand/strip/prepare the railings on our balconies...they just painted over what was already pealing off--so yeah, you guessed it, it's gonna peal off again in say 2 years....what idiots.

hubby is taking me out for lunch since we have very little left in the fridge (frozen brussel sprouts and old ice cream pops for dinner anyone???)
